Vermont Access to Reproductive Freedom provides financial assistance to help Vermonters pay for abortion through grassroots fundraising, working to equalize access and promote economic justice.
Abortions are very common.
In fact more than 1 out of 3 women in the U.S. have had an abortion by the age of 45.
Access to abortions is limited.
Poverty, lack of transportation, intimate partner violence, substance use, and housing instability are all barriers faced by Vermonters seeking abortion care.
Support for Communities
Vermont Access provided over $18,000 in funding to folx across the state in 2019, nearly doubling our impact from 2018. In 2020, more callers than ever have experienced job loss, lack of insurance coverage, and life stressors that make our work more important than ever.
